The inception of Harsha School and College of Nursing was a revolutionary step taken by Sri. S Shivakumar, Chairman for Harsha Group of Institutions in the year 2003, under the unit of “Sri Srinivasa Charitable trust ® “ to foster educational institutions that imparts quality education. Our Institution has taken a glorious stride in completing 20 years of excellence in quality Nursing education with collaboration team work.
The college offers programmes like Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (D.GNM), Basic B.Sc Nursing , Post Basic B.Sc Nursing ( P.B.B.Sc N) and M.Sc Nursing with all 5 specialities. The college is recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC), New Delhi, Karnataka State Nursing Council (KSNC), Bangalore and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. The School of Nursing is affiliated to Karnataka State Diploma in Nursing Examination Board (KSDNEB), Bangalore.
The College of Nursing is located in an exclusive building with all the infrastructure required to learn the entire scope of nursing care. It is also equipped with all high-tech educational technology classrooms, state of art Laboratories, well stocked library, hostel facilities with canteen, highly qualified and experienced faculty members with administrative staffs. The college has its own parental hospital named “Harsha Hospital” in the same campus to get clinical training on 24 x 7 hours in a safe environment. With all these amenities we focus on the holistic overall development of the students to meet the challenges in the health care system and inculcate strong personal and professional etiquettes to be a good citizen of our country.
As a Principal, I am confident that the Harsha School and College of Nursing commits to put its great efforts to establish its position as one of the premier Nursing Institutions which affirms the highest standards of education in the state of Karnataka as well as in India.
